OnBuy eyes UK expansion through Royal Mail Click & Drop alignment

The now completed integration with the Royal Mail Click & Drop initiative will be key to the ecommerce site OnBuy’s UK expansion this year, the firm has detailed.

According to the UK-owned marketplace, its alignment with the online postage and label service will now help sellers take ‘the hassle out of sending’ and "further improve the OnBuy.com experience."

The function enables sellers to create, buy and print UK and international postage, allowing for a "simplified and automated delivery procedure for sellers." It’s all part of OnBuy’s plans for expansion in the UK and its long-term goal of rivalling the likes of Amazon and eBay.

OnBuy has stated that further benefits of the Royal Mail Click & Drop service include time-saving, cost-saving and better accuracy for deliveries.

Cas Paton, founder of OnBuy.com, commented: “I’m delighted to announce that we have partnered with Royal Mail Click & Drop. This is going to add huge value to OnBuy.com’s sellers, enabling them to download and manage their OnBuy.com orders, as well as manage and generate postage labels quickly and easily.

“This new function will further enhance our ecommerce success as the largest UK-owned marketplace. Both customers and sellers can use OnBuy.com more conveniently, with a more accurate shipping solution, as well as saving time and money.

“Sellers can use this new function on OnBuy.com by following a simple process, which begins with connecting your individual OnBuy.com store with your Royal Mail Click & Drop account.

"Next, click on the ‘add new integration’ button and you’ll find OnBuy.com listed as an available marketplace integration. And finally, the integration will need to be verified through Seller ID, Consumer Key and Secret Key from your OnBuy.com seller page.”
