Spielwarenmesse 19: Disney reveals more Toy Story 4 lines from Mattel and Thinkway

New lines in Disney’s Toy Story 4 toy range have been revealed at this year’s Spielwarenmesse, landing courtesy of Mattel and Thinkway Toys.

Unveiled to visitors at this year’s Nuremberg toy fair, the latest lines bolster a range that was recently launched to press and visitors at London’s Toy Fair last week.

The latest additions include the Mission Moves Buzz and Ducky and Bunny Interactive two-pack from Mattel. they join previously detailed interactive Buzz and Woody figures from Thinkway Toys that all sit alongside a growing consumer products line up ahead of the film this year.

The broad product range includes merchandise from different categories, such as toys, accessories and publishing, and will be available at Disney Store and shopDisney.uk as well as retailers across EMEA from 22 April 2019.

The launch will be supported with numerous marketing and retail initiatives. A new mobile game titled Toy Story Drop will land courtesy of Big Fish Games, while Square Enix’s much-hyped videogame title Kingdom Hearts III features a new Toy Story world.

On top of this, Disneyland Paris visitors of all ages can feel what it is like to be shrunk to the size of a toy at Toy Story Playland, featuring various play areas and exclusive attractions such as RC Racer and Slinky Dog Zigzag Spin.

While at Nuremberg Toy Fair, disney took the chance to unveil a selection of products, focussing on new characters for the franchise in the form of Ducky and Bunny, a pair of carniaval plush toys, as well as Forky.  

These original characters were introduced in the two Toy Story 4 teaser trailers released in November 2018, and will go on to play memorable roles in the upcoming movie.

The new Mission Moves Buzz by Mattel comes to life with lights, sounds and iconic action moves.

The support across the business, with best-in-class retail activations and marketing campaigns, will reinforce the strength of this much-loved franchise. We are very proud of this new collection of products and we’re sure that they will delight fans of all ages."

The Bunny and Ducky huggable plush from Thinkway stand at 16-inches and nine inches respectively.

These will be joined by Mattel’s Ducky and Bunny Interactive Two-pack that feature over 20 sounds and phrases from the film. The line is completed with Mattel’s Mission Moves Buzz that comes to life with lights, sounds and action moves.

first hitting the screens in 1995, Toy Story holds claim to being the first fully computer animated feature going on to become the highest grossing movie of the year.

The franchise has continued to go from strength to strength, winning many accolades including the Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA for best animated feature film for Toy Story 3.
