Independent games company Big Potato has leaped into modern day nostalgia with the launch of a Blockbusters-licensed title.
The movie trivia game is the result of an official partnership with the Blockbusters video rental brand of yesteryear, delivering the game itself in a VHS styled case.
It’s one of two new titles to arrive from Big Potato this London Toy Fair that mark the firm’s first foray into the world of licensed games.
Developed in cooperation with its US distributor, Cardinal Games, the licensed range is completed with the UK launch of Disney Colourbrain, a version of its popular colour-guessing game that brings the world of Disney’s animated movies into the fold.
Big Potato Games rocketed onto the toy scene with the success of Linkee and a number of follow-up titles and retail favourites including Obama Llama and Bucket of Doom.
The firm is now expanding its range to reach new audiences via its Disney partnership, while tapping into the modern day nostalgia and millennial trend for gaming via its Blockbuster license.
