Former Coiledspring exec Rory Kelly gives Red Knight Toy Group full launch

The former Coiledspring Games executive and ambassador of the Wrebbit 3D puzzles brand, Rory Kelly has detailed the full launch of his own Red Knight Toy Group consultancy firm ahead of next year’s toy fair season.

The toy industry stalwart’s new company is based in Belfast in Northern Island and will represent a number of games publishers in the coming year through a mix of sales consultancy and distribution services.

January 2019 will mark Kelly’s fourth year in the board games and puzzles sector, who having spent 20 years as a retailer, most recently worked alongside Roger Martin and the team at Coiledspring Games, as well as Jean Théberge, the president of the Canadian team Wrebbit 3D puzzles.

“It has been an honour to be a part of a hugely successful period in Coiledspring Games history that Roger led the company through and the last year learning all about 3D puzzles from the Wrebbit 3D team, to help promote their licensed JK Rowling Wizarding World collection of Harry Potter puzzles has been a career highlight,” said Kelly.

Kelly will continue to work with the Wrebbit 3D international team for 2019 on a consultancy basis, for which he states there are “hugely exciting plans ahead for Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg.”

Red Knight Toy Group has now been approached by a number of international publishers who are seeking partners to help them get their games to market. Red Knight will represent Brain Games and its titles such as ICECOOL. Additionally, Red Knight has secured exclusivity for the UK and Irish markets for games from both The Good Games Company and BINCA Games.

“The opportunity to bring great games such as Idiom Addict, DooDad and Epic Beard Game to the market is very exciting, but Fletter is already vying to become a hero product of the range as a clever tool to promote spelling and word confidence for teachers, parents and general players of all ages,” added Kelly.
