A tabletop adaptation of the exclusive PlayStation 4 video game, Horizon Zero Dawn, is closing in on £1 million in funding on Kickstarter.
The project launched last month when it was announced during Gen Con 2018 with the original goal of £150,000. The Steamforged Games title, however, smashed through this goal in a matter of hours.
With two weeks remaining on the site, the board game adaptation of this popular video game title, looks to set to join the one million club. Success on this scale is no stranger to the Steamforged Games team, being the brains behind other video game to tabletop top adaptations such as Dark Souls and Resident Evil.
The game takes modes of play and character directly from the PS4 title.
“Each hunter has a distinct playstle with a unique set of strengths and weaknesses. The Nora Outcast is a highly skilled and resourceful archer, the Bank Survivor lies on a knife edge, pushing themselves to the absolute limit. The Carja Warrior is a flashy but lethal duellist and the Oseram Forgesmith smashes their enemies around with powerful sledgehammer blows,” read a description.
