Hasbro and Epic Games detail Fortnite Monopoly

Hasbro’s partnership with Epic Games, the team behind the hugely successful Fortnite title has taken its latest step forward as details of a Fortnite Monopoly emerge.

Epic has confirmed that Fortnite Monopoly will be arriving in stores on October 1st this year.

The announcement arrived via creative director Donald Mustard, who shared a high-res image of the board game on Twitter. The new title will retail for £26.99.

It has been suggested that the classic Monopoly gameplay will be altered as it brings in the Fortnite element. Monopoly money will be ‘health points’, boogie bombs will be implemented to make players lose a life, and walls can be used to protect players’ spaces.

Fortnite’s wealth of locations will also transfer into the board game, however, will the rapid pace of change that these locations undergo within the game be met in iterations of the game. Only time will tell.
