Toy Shop UK declares Independent Toy Awards 2018 officially open for entry

Awards season is in full swing as Toy Shop UK declares the Independent Toy Awards 2018 now officially open for entries.

Now in its tenth year, the Independent Toy Awards is encouraging toy industry representatives to submit their nominations before the closing date of Wednesday, August 15.

There are 25 categories within this year’s IT Awards, including App Toys, Baby, Children, Games, Special Needs, Vehicles and more.

‘The awards are unique within the industry because they are the only ones voted for by the nation’s independent toy retailers who list themselves for free on the popular online directory, Toy Shop UK,’ read a statement from the organisers.

‘Companies can submit unlimited products to as many categories as they like. Each entry costs £100 with discounts available for multiple entries.’

Gold, silver and bronze digital medal logos will be awarded to the three most popular toys in each category for use on packaging, catalogues, websites, trade stands, press releases and more.

Runners up who attract at least ten per cent of a category’s votes will be awarded a ‘commendation’ logo.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday, August 29. Find out more about the awards at
