Spin Master launches KumiKreator at Smyths Toys with International Friendship Day events

Spin Master and Smyths Toys Superstores are celebrating a successful partnership for an exclusive launch event for arts & crafts brand KumiKreator.

In a joint celebration of International Friendship Day, the retailer hosted events at ten of its UK stores this weekend, where kids were encouraged to make friendship bracelets with the new range.

Stores in Leeds and Crawley were even joined by the YouTube stars Ambi C and Emma Laila 123 who were visited by fans on the day.

KumiKreator is a play on the Japanese word Kumi, meaning ‘gathered beads’, and it the traditional Japanese technique of braiding cords and beads.

At each event, kids were able to watch demonstrations of the new bracelet maker that spins to braid and create friendship bracelets. There were also Tattoo stations for kids to get temporary ink, a Nail Station for their own manicure and a #KumiFriends Selfie area.

Senior brand manager for Cool Maker, Ranjit Dhutti, said: “What better way to celebrate International Friendship Day than by spending a special day with your best friend and making beautiful friendship bracelets.”
