The Peter Maffay Foundation receives toy donation from Spielwarenmesse

Donations of toys and products collected at this year’s Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg have been handed over to the Peter Maffay Foundation.

30 pallets of toys and goods were packed and shipped to various charities around Germany while at an official presentation on July 26 at Gut Dietlhofen in Bavaria, the Peter Maffay Foundation accepted the donations on behalf of the many projects benefitting from the campaign.

The donation was received from the collective efforts of around 800 exhibitors at Spielwarenmesse 2018. This was the first time that the Foundation, established by the German musician Peter Maffay, had taken part.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to all the exhibitors and the team at the Spielwarenmesse. We are thrilled to receive toys that will bring joy to so many children and help them regain their confidence,” stated Maffay.

Known at Gut Dietlhofen, Maffay’s recently opened estate provides disadvantaged and traumatised children with a much-needed escape where they learn about farming, handle animals and take part in running the estate.

The products donated by the toy companies will now go on to benefit a host of charitable organisations. Local institutions in and around Nuremberg and 30 SOS Children’s Villages across Germany were once again included in the campaign.
