Alex Brands sells Juratoys to European private equity firm Argos Wityu

Alex Brands has detailed the sale of Juratoys to Argos Wityu, an independent European private equity group.

The toy firm has appointed Harris Williams & Co as advisor over the sale of Juratoys, a French toy outfit that carries the popular Janod and Kaloo brands.

With offices across Brussels, Frnakfurt, Geneva, Luxembourg, Milan and Paris, Argos Wityu has invested in more than 75 SMEs with enterprise value ranging from €25 to €200 million, since its inception in 1989.

It has made the investment in Juratoys eyeing it as a ‘great opportunity to take the toy firm to the next phase of growth.’

“Juratoys has developed authentic toy brands that stand for high quality, classic design, creativity and inspiration,” said Sylvain Noblet, vice president at Harris Williams.

‘It has been a pleasure working with Alex Brands on the sale of Juratoys to Argos Wityu, who we believe will be a great partner in Juratoys’ next phase of growth.”

Argos Wityu has nearly €1 billion under management dedicated to acquisitions. It will work closely with the Juratoys management team to implement new strategic projects.
