Strong retail reaction signals ‘very promising future’ for Rollplay

Ride-on specialist Rollplay has outlined a ‘very promising future’ for the brand’s global operations citing very positive early reaction from retailers in the UK.

The firm has recently announced its new Nighthawk ride-on, a sit, slide and glide set of wheels aimed at the preteen market and hitting shelves this autumn.

The ride-on challenges its riders to steer by leaning into the curve, while its gas and brake pedals allow for variable speed control. The Nighthawk can hit a top speed of 12 km/h while its 12v battery has a running time of 60 minutes on one full charge.

The new launch will be supported in the UK by a heavyweight marketing and in store campaign in the run-up to Christmas and, according to the firm’s national business development manager, Kingsley Li, will play a major roll in its continued growth and success here in the UK.

“This is a really exciting time for Rollplay as it enters the UK market. Our portfolio has a fantastic array of products that are set to launch throughout the year and will make a real impact for the brand,” Li told ToyNews.

‘We’re already seeing a very positive reaction to the product line from retailers in the UK, making for a promising future for our innovative ride-ons such as Nighthawk. As part of the Goodbaby International Group, the Rollplay concept will aim to grow the category in the UK and ROI market, bringing fun and excitement to end consumers.”
