Mattel confirms Mario Kart themed Hot Wheels for June 2019

Mattel is to launch a line of Mario Kart-themed Hot Wheels cars next year, the toymaker has confirmed.

The Nintendo-licensed range made its debut at the San Diego Comic-Con earlier this week, confirming that the line will include characters Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy, Wario from Super Mario Land 2 and Toad from Super Mario Bros.

The collection will also feature Luigi, Bowser, Princess Peach and of course, Mario.

As well as character inspired Hot Wheels cars, each sculpted in the style of the hit Nintendo Switch title Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the company will also release tracks inspired by race courses from the game series.

The Mario Kart themed range is expected to hit stores next June.
