STEM and sustainability gain spotlight as MadeForMums Toy Awards 2018 open for entries

The awards season is upon us as the UK’s parenting product review site, MadeForMums has just opened entries to its 2018 celebration.

The annual, consumer facing awards, aim to champion the best toys at every age from newborn to pre-teens – and are judged by children, family influencers and toy industry experts.

This year will see awards across 29 categories, including Best Toddler Toy, Best Wooden Toy, Best Sciences/STEM Toy, Best Sustainable/Eco Toy and Best Collectable Toy.

Each of the winners will be automatically considered for one of the special Editor’s Choice Awards that, this year, include a new award for Best Gender Neutral Toy.

The MadeForMums Toy Awards are often recognised by national press, having received major coverage across the Daily Mail in 2017 and 2016 and help drive over £240,000 of toy sales in the run up to Christmas.

“MadeForMums is trusted by our users so they click through the links on our editorial content to buy the products we rate and recommend,” said Susie Boone, MadeForMums editorial director.

“Our Toy Awards winners will benefit from showcase editorial coverage, timed for publication in the peak Christmas-gift-buying weeks.”

Toy manufacturers can enter their toys at https://toyawards.awardsplatform.com. Winners will receive showcase editorial coverage on madeformums.com, with a click to buy link as well as inclusion in CBeebies magazine Christmas special, a digital logo and automatic shortlisting for the Editor’s Choice Awards.
