Board Game Club is making its return to Soho’s members’ club, Century in London later this month, where the new word game FReNeTiC is slated to take centre stage.
The games’ menu for the night will be packed full of finds from this year’s UK Games Expo, including Sakura and High Society from Osprey Games, Coiledspring’s Okiya, dexterity classic Riff Raff and Uwe Rosenberg’s Indian Summer and Patchwork.
Amid the bounty, the Accentuate team’s latest title, FReNeTiC will take centre stage offering up a brand new word game with a scientific twist. Designers Graeme and Fiona Fraser-Bell will also be on hand to join in the frivolities and guide gamers through the play.
Using element symbols of the Periodic Table, players race against the clock to form as many words as possible using the Element symbol tiles and score points equivalent to the atomic numbers of each tile.
“FReNeTiC went down a storm at UK Games Expo,” said Board Game Club co-founder, Lesley Singleton. “So we’re looking forward to introducing it to our guests on June 20.
“Plus, we have so many great new games that we picked up at the show so there’s plenty for people to choose from and something to suit every taste.”
Now in its fifth year, Board Game Club has established itself as a fun, informal night of board gaming. It’s free to attend, all you need to do is register on the guest list by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Brands interested in working with Board Game Club are welcome to provide games for the menu or use Board Game Club to showcase their ranges. Contact Lesley@playtimepr.com for more information.
