Marvin’s Magic celebrates 30 years of in-store magic

One of the pioneers of in-store theatre, Marvin’s Magic’s Bruce Smith, is celebrating 30 years in the industry.

As Marvin’s magic demonstration training manager, Smith has been entertaining the crowds at Hamleys with compellingly enchanting demonstrations longer than this writer has been alive, and has the sales to back it up.

In celebration, Marvin Berglas who is also the vice president of The Magic Circle, interviewed Bruce in front of a packed Magic Circle audience during his regular Rabbit and Revelations quickfire interview segment which celebrates talents, diversity and creativity.

They spoke about how he has probably done more live magic than any other magician in Britain having demonstrated at Hamleys Regent Street for 30 years. His many celebrity customers included Princess Diana, Margaret Thatcher and of course Michael Jackson who was a regular.

The hundreds of thousands of children he has inspired, the hundreds of demonstrator magicians he has trained and the dozens of professionals he has inspired.

Berglas described him in three words. “Perceptive", "Unique" and "Royalty”. He also presented Smith with special commemorative gifts to mark the occasion.
