The first HasLab project has been funded

Hasbro is celebrating its first successfully funded project on its recently launched crowdfunding platform HasLab, in the form of Jabba the Hutt’s sail barge from Return of the Jedi.

The project has sailed past its target of 5,000 backers, currently sitting at over 7,000 backers who coughed up the $500 for the collectable item.

The project gained a huge amount of support in its penultimate day, with the current sum raised clocking at over $2.5 million.

The sail barge will be available exclusively to backers who will get their hands on the space vehicle in early 2019. Hasbro hopes that this first HasLab success will give way to more ambitious and speciality projects that can be funded through the platform.

Jabba’s sail barge is officially the largest Star Wars toy Hasbro has ever made at two feet long and over a foot high and wide.
