Hasbro’s Hanazuki makes on screen debut with POP

Hasbro’s Hanazuki: Full of Treasures made its on screen debut, premiering on POP on March 26.

Produced by Hasbro Studios in collaboration with Titmouse Studios, the Hanazuki: Full of Treasures animated series takes viewers to a galaxy of colourful moons and a mysterious dark force that threatens this new world.

The series is inspired by whimsical character creations from Amsterdam-based artists Niko Stumpo and Hanneke Metselaar. Fans were introduced to the brand in the Hanazuki theatrical short that played before the hit children’s movie, My Little Pony: The Movie, released in cinemas in October 2017.

Hanazuki features a cast of strange and humorous characters including the likes of Hemkas the spirit creatures, Little Dreamer, a moon child, Dazzlessence Jones, the sheriff and a Sleepy Unicorn.

“Hanazuki is a strong, multidimensional and relatable heroine and we are excited to introduce her to POP viewers across the UK,” said Nina Scales, VP International Distribution at Hasbro.

“Hanazuki: Full of Treasures encourages audiences to embrace their ever-changing emotions and celebrate them in a uniquely empowering way. We know audiences will fall in love with Hanazuki and her magical and eccentric world.”

Season one of the series will feature 27 11 minute episodes released from march 26 and airing weekdays at 10am and 4.30pm. Fans can engage with Hanazuki and her friends in the Hanazuki: Full of Treasures app which allows you to become a moonflower just like Hanazuki.
