Dave Bautista surprises Guardians of the Galaxy fans in latest Marvel: The Universe Unites effort

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy actor, Dave Bautista – the muscles behind Drax – stopped by Give Kids The World Village to meet with fans and celebrate Hasbro’s donation of $1million worth of cash and products.

The surprise is part of Marvel: The Universe Unites, a charity campaign that sees the cast of Marvel Studio’s Avengers: Infity War help support children’s charities and count down to the launch of movie-related products.

During his visit, Bautista interacted with numerous children and delivered new toys from marvel Studio’s Avengers: Infinity War.

“Being here is such an honour, and to have the opportunity to spend time with the children and amazing staff to Give Kids The World who make it all happen is incredible,” said Bautista.

“Hasbro’s donation will provide the gift of play and bring tremendous joy to the many children who visit.”

The week-long charitable event kicked off with a social media challenge for the stars of Marvel Studio’s Avengers: Infinity War. Cast members received special toy care packages filled with new products celebrating their Marvel character to be donated to children’s hospitals.

Together, their #HeroActs posts reached one million likes in less than 24 hours and raised a $250,000 donation to Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Over the weekend, Disney Store donated 10 per cent of weekend Marvel product sales to Make-A-Wish in support of Marvel: The Universe Unites.
