Posh Paws welcomes YouTube sensation Gummy Bear to the plush portfolio

Posh Paws is welcoming a new addition to its 2018 portfolio as the company is named the UK and European plush partner for Gummibar and Friends: The Gummy Bear Show.

Gummibar, an animated singing and dancing gummy bear character, is one of the most watched characters on the internet, with over 10 billion video views on YouTube and his own animated series.

Nearly 400 million of those 10 billion views were in the UK alone.

Since his debut ten years ago, Gummibar’s content has inspired a community of fans. More than 830,000 user generated videos containing Gummibar content have been uploaded to social media, including celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Alec Baldwin and Madonna.

The new Posh Paws plush line will be available in autumn 2018 and will include character plush toys with sounds that play the hit song I Am A Gummy Bear, which earned platinum and gold sales awards in more than 10 countires.

Laura Bull, marketing manager of Posh Paws, said: “This will be a fun line that will appeal to the millions of daily watchers of Gummibar and Friends: The Gummy Bear Show.

“The show and its characters are popular with children as well as adults and Gummy being jolly, jiggly, and loving to sing lends itself perfectly to a premium gift plush collection.”
