Liberty House Toys introduces biobased construction toy, BiOBUDDi

Distributor Liberty House Toys is introducing a new eco-friendly construction toy to the market, in the form of BioBUDDi.

Unlike any other building blocks these are made from green polyethylene using the leftovers of the sugar cane plant making them completely recyclable.

This announcement is timely, given the concerns swirling about sustainability in the toys industry and also boasts an educational aspect.

Regulators increasingly warn of unsafe toys that fail to meet safety requirements, so the desire for environmentally friendly and safer toys is greater than ever among parents. These new ‘green’ biobased building blocks contain 0 per cent oil-based chemicals because the raw materials are derived from plants, not oil.

There are 13 sets to choose from, each with a different educational theme for youngsters to get stuck into.
