Thames & Kosmos’ Great White Shark sales ‘go through the roof’ following ITV toys for Christmas special

Sales of Thames and Kosmos’ Great White Shark anatomy set have ‘gone through the roof,’ following the item’s appearance on Philip Schofield’s How To Spend It Well This Christmas earlier this week.

The toy firm has reported a tangible upturn in sales of the set when it was given a starring role in the ITV hour-long special dedicated to toys on Wednesday evening.

It was among a host of popular toys to be highlighted as hot items for children and adults this Christmas, joined by the likes of Hasbro’s Furreal Tyler, John Adams’ party game Don’t be a Donkey and Anki’s Cosmo.

Joanna Drage, sales director of Thames and Kosmos, said: “What a superb piece of product placement for our shark anatomy kit. Sales went through the roof after the piece aired, we couldn’t be more pleased with the tangible results of our PR strategy.”

The second part of the three-part show airs next week with a focus on gadget and technology.
