Spin Master showcases Meccano, Air Hogs at Digital Kids Show

Spin Master has demonstrated its latest range of drones at the Digital Kids Show in Manchester this weekend.

The company brought along the UK’s youngest Drone Racing pilot, Adam Blackburn to demonstrate the Air Hogs DR1 FPV Race Drone, hosting demos which kids in attendance were able to view from a birds-eye view, using both the special headset and via a TV screen on the stand.

“This format has worked extremely well in other pro-demo events we have held earlier this year with Adam’s drone racing team-mates Luke Bannister and Johnny FPV,” said Air Hogs UK senior brand manager, Ranjit Dhutti, prior to the show.

“The kids always love having the chance to be in the virtual cockpit of the drone as it’s raced around by these pilots! We are confident our presence and Adam’s involvement will bring a terrific addition to the experience the show will be offering its visitors this year and gives us the chance to show kids how much fun can be had with our DR1 Micro and FPV race drones!”

Becca Hanlon, Meccano UK brand manager added: “The Digital Kids show, offers the perfect opportunity for teachers, parents and kids to come along and experience first-hand the fantastic features and STEM learning opportunities offered by these exciting new robotic kits from Meccano.”

Youngsters also got the chance to build, play and programme Meccano M.A.X. and MeccaSpider at the show. Meccano M.A.X. Robot is the most advanced Meccano robot to date, drawing on advanced robotics technology that combines Artificial Intelligence (AI) learning and customisable programming to create a one of a kind personal friend. Kids visiting the show could help build robots from scratch and use the free Meccano App to access the programmable menu and gaming platform that the robot supports.
