The Toy Trust details 2018’s Big Challenge triathlon event

An open water swim, a bike ride and a 10km run will be undertaken for next year’s Toy Trust Charity’s Big Challenge.

Now confirmed for summer 2018, the triathlon event will he held at Westhorpe Water Sports Centre in Buckinghamshire on Saturday, June 9th.

Olympic and sprint distances will be available in the swimming challenge, a 50 and 80 mile circular bike ride and a 10km walk or run, making up the triathlon challenge.

Participants with younger family members are welcome to join the walking element which will take in some of the scenic Thames Path.

The 2018 event will culminate with a late afternoon BBQ and refreshments on site for all participants.

The Big Challenge will aim to raise £200,000 for the children’s charities supported by the Toy Trust.

“Next year’s Big Challenge promises to be another exciting event for all of the industry to get involved in,” said Toy Trust chair, Foye Pascoe.

“We sincerely hope the 25 teams that supported this year’s event will be back to support us again next June. As always we hope to encourage new teams, however big or small, to get involved in what has become an amazingly uplifting and fun, team building day that raises massive amounts of money for the disadvantaged children the Toy Trust supports.”

Places are available at £100 per person and teams or individuals wishing to register their interest in participating should email Matt Jones at the BTHA to Matt@btha.co.uk as soon as possible.
