Aquabeads gets creative with Smyths

Epoch’s popular arts and crafts brand, Aquabeads has taken to Smyths stores across the country with an in-store campaign visiting 40 stores in the UK and ROI.

The Creative Keepers demo days took place in 39 stores over the October 21st-23rd, which saw a high attendance that translated into sales. The campaign has a final event at Smyths Boucher Road on Saturday October 28th.

Creators Keepers days allowed children to make their own creation which they could then take home. With the chance to use a ready-made template or their own imagination to create fun designs, the children sprayed their creations with water and left them to set.

In order to drive footfall to the retailer, the free demo days were scheduled to run from 10:30am – 4:30pm during the first weekend and Monday of October half-term.

The demo days form part of a larger marketing strategy which includes pre-Christmas TV advertising, PR, and heightened social media activity implemented to raise awareness of the brand before the key Christmas selling period.
