Jumbo’s Dessineo celebrates award success

Jumbo’s ‘Learn to Draw’ educational toy has earned a series of industry-recognised awards and recommendations since its launch in July, bolstering the product’s Christmas potential.

The award success includes several popular and influential consumer awards, from the Right Start Awards, Loved by Parents (Two Platinum Awards), Made for Mums and Practical Pre-School (Overall Gold Winner). With categories covering Best Simulative Toy, Best Activity Toy, Best Arts & Crafts and Best Education & Learning Toy, the Dessineo ‘Learn to Draw’ has also received the ‘recommended’ status from Fundamentally Children and is now featured in the renowned Good Toy Guide.

“The Dessineo ‘Learn to Draw’ provides children with an aid for creating pictures they can truly be proud of," reads the recommendation from Fundamentally Children.

"Our testers really enjoyed letting their creativity flow and were impressed with the outcomes, easily creating their own masterpieces. The set starts children off tracing and copying, but this helps them pick up certain techniques that will translate to freehand drawing. This is also an excellent way for younger children who are learning to write, to improve their control of a pen/pencil by practising different line shapes.” 

The product aims to stimulate the creativity in youngsters by teaching them drawing techniques for various shapes, pictures and objects. The set boasts 30 different drawing stencils, which each have four progressive outlines of the drawings that children will learn to create.
