Top UK puzzles company Gibsons has unveiled a series of new ranges including new additions to its licensed offerings in the form of the Twister jigsaw puzzle and new Enid Blyton products.
The 250 piece, double-sided Wall’s Twister Ice Cream puzzle is presented in a larger than life tin replica of the iconic green and white ice lolly. With Twister being the number one bestselling product in the kid’s ice cream market, making up 50 per cent of Unilever kid’s ice cream sales, the licensed product is tipped to have great crossover appeal.
“Following the success of the Marmite jigsaw, we were really keen to work with Gibsons to bring another brand to life," commented Chloe Irwin, licensing director at Unilever UK. "The 3D packaging we have designed reflects the iconic design of Twister, and will appeal to both retailers and consumers who will be keen to have this in their Jigsaw collection.”
The firm has also announced it is joining forces with one of the UK’s best-loved authors, Enid Blyton for a range of five puzzles based on the author’s classic works, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the series.
The Famous Five 1000 piece puzzle commemorates the Famous Five series by featuring the iconic original cover illustrations by Eileen Soper, including Five Go to Mystery Moor and Five on a Secret Trail. The tricky puzzle relives the most exciting adventures that were enjoyed by Julian, George, Dick, Anne and Timmy the dog.
The other puzzles in the range have been inspired by the tongue-in-cheek Famous Five Books for Grown-Ups, the parody books that have been a publishing sensation and frequently topped the bestseller charts over the last year. The 250 piece puzzles have been designed to look like the iconic front covers which include, Five On Brexit Island and Five Go Parenting. Packaged in book-sized boxes to capitalise on their gift appeal and with a pick-up price point of £6.99.
Finally, the firm has also released an all-new original game entitled Chicken Out!, which is available to order now.
