Toy Shop UK Reveals the 2017 Independent Toy Award Winners

Toy Shop UK has published the results of its 9th annual Independent Toy Awards, showing what the nation’s independent toy retailers think are the best toys for parents to be buying their children this Christmas.

A full list of winning products can be seen at
Gold, silver and bronze medal logos have been awarded in each of the ocategories, with a number of other

suppliers receiving a “commendation” logo for products that narrowly missed out on a top 3 place.

Toy Shop UK’s awards process is unique within the industry. By asking the 900+ retailers that list their businesses on the directory what they think are the best toys in each category, winners are “revealed” rather than “selected” as votes flood in.

Toy Shop UK founder Michael Hawkins explains: "Our impartiality guarantees that we publish a list that is as honest and transparent as you can realistically get. If anyone’s qualified to comment on great toys, it’s independent retailers. They are the ones on the sharpest end of the toy industry – and we have always taken great pride in championing them whenever and wherever we can.”
