Jazwares named master toy partner for Hotel Transylvania

Sony Pictures Consumer Products has named Jazwares the master toy partner for its popular Hotel Transylvania franchise.

Jazwares joins a roster of new partners for the property, including Simon & Schuster Children’s Group, Papercutz Comics and Bendon Publishing who will create a new range of books inspired by the film and TV series.

The Jazwares toy line is scheduled to hit shelves in summer 2018, leading up to the release of Sony Pictures Animation’s Hotel Transylvania 3.

Following a short animated feature that launched at cinemas in July, the Hotel Transylvania franchise has recently expanded into TV with a new animated TV series which is being produced by Nelvana and Sony Pictures Animation.

“Our consumer products strategy aligns perfectly with our content strategy, which is to bring the Hotel Transylvania world to life 365 days a year,” said Jamie Stevens, EVP of worldwide Consumer Products and Licensing.

“We look forward to working with Jazwares, Simon & Schuster, Papercutz Comics and Bendon Publishing to create innovative products that kids and families will love year-round.”

Laura Zebersky, chief commercial officer, Jazwares, added: “Hotel Transylvania continues to define family fun in a fresh, diverse and hilarious way.

“We couldn’t ask for a better fit with creative thinking at jazwares and we are extremely excited to introduce in 2018 the first ever toy line for Hotel Transylvania.”
