Simba Smoby’s Bradford factory engulfed in flames

Simba Smoby Toys has suffered a huge fire, which broke out on in its factory based on Hall Lane in Bradford this Saturday.

Around 60 firefighters were called to the scene to tackle the fire that engulfed the 100-metre long building.

“We are currently dealing with a large fire on Hall Lane, Bradford. We have 15 pumping appliances, two aerial appliances, plus further supporting appliances in attendance from across the brigade,” read a statement from the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

“Current position is as follows – two aerial appliances, four breathing apparatus, four large jets and one ground monitor jet are being used to extinguish the fire.”

The blaze has since been brought under control and no casualties have been reported as of yet.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
