Amazon enjoys 3.5 million toy sales on Prime Day

Amazon enjoyed mammoth toy sales during its annual Prime Day, which took place on July 11th.

More than 3.5 million toys in total were purchased by customers worldwide, which included a range of board games including Twister, Accentuate, Othello and Risk.

Plus, Anki’s Cozmo robot, a Black and Decker play-set and various LEGO sets were also up for grabs.

The day, which is exclusive to Prime members, also surpassed Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, making it the biggest day ever in Amazon history.

“To those customers who tried Prime for the first time and our long time members, thank you for a great Prime Day,” said Greg Greeley, VP of Amazon Prime.

“Our teams around the world will keep working to add more and more to your membership, so Prime continues to make your life better every day. We are already looking forward to our Prime Day celebration next year.”
