The board game publisher has teamed with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products to launch the first title in a planned series of games.

Designed by Arkham Horror creator Richard Launius, the game will challenge players to work cooperatively to survive foes and deadly environment.

“Richard Lainius has done an incredible job of realising the richness and originality of the Planet of the Apes universe as a cooperative board game experience, perfect for players who love games, or just want a new way to enjoy the films, “ said IDW’s VP of new product development, Jerry Bennington.

The Planet of the Apes board game will launch in October this year.
