US: Women in Toys details WIT Empowerment Day ahead of Fall Toy Preview

Women in Toys, Licensing and Entertainment has detailed this year’s WIT Empowerment Day, taking place this October.

Held in collaboration with Walmart and designed for entrepreneurs, manufacturers and inventors, WIT Empowerment Day provides a programme of product pitches, mentorship and face to face connections.

The event will be held on Monday, October 2, the day before Fall Toy Preview in Dallas officially begins.

WIT members will have the chance to pitch their products to Walmart buyers as well as top toy companies including Hasbro, Spin Master, PlayMonster and Jazwares. They will also be able to participate in interactive Ask an Expert info sessions, where they will be mentored by top industry experts on e-commerce, crowdfunding, financing, patents and trademarks, and more.

Advance registration for WIT Empowerment Day is required and pitch sessions will be limited and scheduled on a first come basis.

Those wishing to pitch to Walmart buyers must be a 51 per cent women-owned business.
