Spielwarenmesse team offer helping hand for Corporate Volunteering Day

A team of 27 from Spielwarenmesse eG have lent a helping hand in support of the ‘In Action’ Corporate Volunteering Day organised by the Nuremberg Volunteering Network, Unternehmen Ehrensache.

The 27 staff members left their desks and joined forces with other companies to help out in the Nuremberg district of Gibitzenhof.

This year saw Spielwarenmesse eG support the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Herschel infant and junior school, as well as St. Mark’s nursery school.

On May 31st, team members helped to fill a sandpit at the nursery school, redesign the art room at the school and helped to teach children games and activities.

“The management of Spielwarenmesse eG is happy to support the voluntary involvement of our staff. It enables us to do a good deed for the children of Nuremberg,” said Ernst Kick, CEO of Spielwarenmesse eG.

“Our company has a very close relationship with the city of Nuremberg and campaigns of this kind enable us to do something positive to help our local children.”

The involvement of the Spielwarenmesse team in this project is part of the self-directed Corporate Social Responsibility Programme that the firm put in place over seven years ago.
