This month, the Committee of Advertising Practice will publish new guidance on online advertising to children under the age of 12.
The guidance is the result of a 12 month campaign between The BTHA, CAP and the Advertising Standards Authority.
The guidance contains new industry rules for all companies advertising and marketing to children online. The guidance will be implemented this June.
Under the partnership with the BTHA, ASA has offered to provide all members with a free training session on the CAP Code’s remit, offering companies the chance to ask questions and get clarification on the new rules and practices before it comes into force this June.
