Nickelodeon UK honours retailers and licensees at 2017 Awards event

Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products has named the winners of the firm’s annual UK Achievement Awards.

Recognising the accomplishments of UK retail and license partners across the year, the ceremony saw eight awards handed out by Marianne James, VP commercial partnerships, consumer products and experiences, Nickelodeon UK and Ireland.

James was joined by Mark Kingston, GM and SVP EMEA and international promotions and consumer packaged goods Viacom International Media Networks.

ASDA took home the Retail Campaign of the Year award for its PAW Patrol summer campaign and The Entertainer was named Retail Partnership of the Year in recognition of the support shown to Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. brands with its range of science kits and dough lines.

Meanwhile, Blues Clothing took the award for softlines partnership with Egmont Publishing named content partner of the year.

MV won for Innovative Hard Line Product or Range with its Chase Cruiser receiving a special mention from the NVCP team.

Dr. Martens were lauded for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles range winning Collaboration of the Year, while Sambro were named Licensee of the Year with their efforts in pursuing business opportunities and developing diverse and innovative product lines praised.

Danilo’s relationship with NVCP was recognised with the greetings cards, gift wrap, calendar and diary company receiving the award for Long-Standing Partnership.

“Over the last 12 months, we have seen our portfolio perform extraordinarily well at retail with our pre-school brands driving a lot of new business, and our evergreen properties more than holding their own,” said Marianne James.

“These annual awards provide us an opportunity to celebrate the success of the last year and recognise the phenomenal contribution made by our partners.”
