Racing brand Scalextric has bolstered its portfolio with the addition of a slot car version of the new McLaren 720S.
The new slot car was announced simultaneously with the McLaren supercar, which was first debuted at the Geneva International Motor Show this week.
“Our relationship with McLaren dates back to the 1960s when Scalextric was first established, and we produced their first McLaren M4A as a slot car,” said Ricky Black, head of brand for Scalextric.
“As McLaren Automotive established, we have continued our license arrangement with them, first with the McLaren 12C and then the iconic McLaren P1. Scalextric is now extremely excited to be announcing the first slot car model of the McLaren 720S.”
The new model boasts two colour alternatives, including Glacier White and Azores Orange, with further items set to launch in 2018.
For fans who cannot afford the real McLaren supercar, Scalextric’s version is priced at £39.99, and is available to pre-order from Scalextric stocklists now.
