Board Game Club celebrates 3rd birthday with The Sock Game

Board Game Club will celebrate its 3rd birthday with its next event on Thursday March 2nd at Hotel Piccadilly, London.

Nick & Jono, the brothers who created Kickstarter success story, The Sock Game will be in attendance, demonstrating the game that made its industry debut in the Greenhouse Area at London Toy Fair.

“I lost count of the number of people who came up to me at London Toy Fair and said ‘you have to see The Sock Game’, and they were right,” said Board Game Club co-founder, Lesley Singleton.

“It’s brilliant. Simple, quick to learn, addictive and ridiculously fun. I knew instantly that our crowd would love it so we’re thrilled that the dynamic duo has agreed to come and celebrate our third birthday with us.”

In the three years since its launch the Board Game Club has become established as great venue for informal industry networking.

“We started the monthly nights as an excuse to get grown-ups playing games together over a few beers.” added Board Game Club co-founder, Peter Jenkinson.

“We’ve since played host to inventors and big brands in equal measure and we’re really proud that we’ve seen some great business matchmaking happen over our menu of often silly games. Hasbro, Esdevium, John Adams, Cartamundi and even Firebox have all staged take-overs, using Board Game Club as a launch platform for new titles, and we have some really exciting developments in the pipeline for this year too.”
