Spielwarenmesse 2017 enjoys increased visitor growth

Spielwarenmesse 2017 is celebrating another successful year, with a climb in visitors following previous years.

This year the Nuremberg Toy Fair witnessed a total of 73,000 visitors, up 3.2 per cent from 70,714 in 2016, travelling to Nuremberg from 123 nations to get a glimpse of the latest toy products.

Opened from February 1st to 6th, organisers posted a high number of exhibitors, with 2,871 companies from 63 countries up from 2,851 in 2016, expressing their satisfaction with the number of trade buyers at the fair.

Ernst Kick, CEO of Spielwarenmesse eG, said: “The overall outcome of the 68th event confirms that the Spielwarenmesse is in a unique position, ranking as the most important platform in the industry.”

In addition, the amount of international retailers and buyers climbed from 50 per cent to 60 per cent, with the majority of trade buyers coming in from Europe, Asia and America.
