LEGO to double London office space

LEGO has announced plans to double its London office space, saying it wanted to send a "clear signal" the city was central to its growth plans.

It is hoped that the expansion may allow the toy manufacturer to create more jobs and grow from its current employee base of 275. The office space will be expanded by 50% by taking two floors in a building opposite its current UK headquarters.

The company’s finance chief, John Goodwin announced the move calling London a ‘great location’ and praised the wide pool of talented staff it was able to recruit from.

"To make more room for our current employees working here in London, as well as ensure that we have capacity for potential future growth, now is the time to expand the office," explained Goodwin.

"The continued investment in London sends a clear signal that we consider it to be a great location for us, with access to a broad pool of talented employees."
