Mojo Nation readies debut for London Toy Fair

New organisation designed to bring the toy and game designer community together, Mojo Nation, is set to make its debut at Toy Fair next week.

Founded by former ToyNews editor Billy Langsworthy, the body aims to give inventors, including design students and R&D teams, to toy firms and inventor agencies a helping hand within the design industry.

Mojo Nation will also launch two new events, including Play Innovation Summit and Play Creators Festival to help boost opportunities for inventors.

The one-day conference Play Innovation Summit will bring together experts in artificial intelligence, robotics, VR and 3D printing to look at how emerging technology is set to shape the toys and games of the future, and change the ways in which kids play.

Taking place across two days, Play Creators Festival will see the latest design talent share ideas and advice at a conference focussed on creativity and toy design, plus new inventors will get the chance to showcase their designs to a host of toy and games firms.

“The UK toy and game scene is brimming with incredible design talent, from freelancers, in-house creators and the work being done at inventor agencies, right through to bright design graduates and creative types outside of the industry looking for a chance to pitch new ideas,” said Langsworthy.

“We’re here to shout about the achievements of this creative community, strengthen the ties between education and industry and work with manufacturers to ensure the greatest play ideas don’t just stay ideas.”
