Golden Bear’s Bush Baby toy line gets its own web series

Brands with Influence is to produce a new web series based on Golden Bear’s new line of Bush Baby toys.

Disney, Nickelodeon and CBeebies writer Miranda Larson has been tapped as lead writer on the new animated series.

The move follows Golden Bear’s recent appointment as master toy partner for the collection of cute animal toys. The company will be releasing the first range of Bush Baby World toys and accessories this autumn.

The new animated series will feature the Bush Babies and friends in CGI as they work to protect the Dream Tree, the source of good dreams for children everywhere.

“We have always believed that this brand would work well across all media,” said Barry Hughes, managing director of Golden Bear.

“The wonderful toys are full of character and now with Miranda’s great scripts, they have literally been brought to life. We are looking forward to embarking on this new venture and watching how children engage with Bush Baby World across multiple platforms.”

Martin Lowe of Brands with Influence, added: “We have seen how effective online animation and streaming can be for building brands and driving children’s engagement with toys.

“When we developed the Bush Baby proposition we always saw it as a televisual concept. The original toys created by Andrew Coates came with such inherent cheekiness and spirit, it was an obvious step to develop this into an animated series.”

The new series will form part of the complete Bush Baby World brand and media which primarily targets girls aged five to nine.

Brands with Influence believes the brand also presents various licensing opportunities beyond toys.
