UL readies new services for Toy Fair debut

Toy safety firm UL is set to debut its UL Toy Safety Enhanced Certification Mark and UL SmartInsights at this year’s upcoming Toy Fairs.

The certification is a new offering provided by the company, and helps to bring increased credibility to a product’s safety and compliance.

This mark will allow retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers and suppliers to differentiate their product and demonstrate that their product is safe to use.

UL’s toy safety certification program is based on conformity assessments to the US specification, ASTM F963-16 Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety.

In addition, UL SmartInsights is a library of information that will help users to keep track of the changing requirements in the industry, as well as providing regulations.

Both of UL’s new offerings will be on show at London Toy Fair, Nuremberg, Hong Kong and New York.
