LEGO invites kids to become a LEGO Friends designer

The LEGO Group is giving kids the chance to become a LEGO designer and create a new set for the firm’s LEGO Friends range.

For the first time, the winning design will then be put into production and will go on sale at Toys R Us stores in the UK and Ireland and LEGO retail stores.

In addition, the chosen set will boast a minidoll of the young designer for an extra personal touch.

From March 2017, the LEGO team will select 20 semi-finalists, which will then be whittled down to 10 finalists by a judging panel, before selecting the Grand Prize Winner on March 17th.

A week-long trip for up to four people to The LEGO Group HQ in Denmark is up for grabs for the winner, where they will work alongside the LEGO Friends design team to bring their creation to life.

Children aged from six to 12 are encouraged to enter the competition now via or the LEGO Friends Facebook app.
