Chinese toy maker created life-sized, working Iron Man suit

A Chinese toy manufacturer has created a life-sized, fully functioning armour suit as worn by Marvel’s Iron Man.

OK, for fully-functioning, read: consists of 46 motors to power all of its 567 moving parts, but that’s nothing to be sniffed at.

In fact, the suit – created by The Toys Asia – stands at just over seven feet tall and takes a full 27 seconds to open and close – reportedly the same amount of time it takes Tony Stark to suit up himself.

While the suit is too small to house an adult, it does bear a grown-up price tag of £291,000.
