US: Dave & Buster’s to launch life-sized Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots game

US restaurant Dave & Buster’s is set to unveil an oversized take on Mattel’s classic Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots game for diners to enjoy.

Replacing the original six-inch models with huge versions that stand at five-feet high, the new game will make its debut December 26th, and won’t be available anywhere else.

"Dave & Buster’s always aims to provide exciting new experiences to its guests, and our exclusive new take on Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots brings a massive dose of competitive arcade fun," said Kevin Bachus, SVP of entertainment at Dave & Buster’s.

"The game has been a favourite for more than 50 years, and we jumped at the opportunity to put our own giant stamp on a classic."
