MGA donates 1,000 Christmas dinners to homeless dogs

MGA Entertainment has raised and donated £500 to the UK’s largest grant giving animal charity Support Adoption For Pets, which means 1,000 Christmas dinners for dogs in shelters this Christmas.

The digital campaign, #GeorgiesSantaPaws, launched on Facebook at the beginning of December with a festive image of the interactive dog toy, with every share of the image accounting for one Christmas dinner donation to Support Adoption for Pets. The campaign received over 1,000 shares in just four days.

“Georgie is just like a real puppy in many ways and has been popular this year with families who, for varying reasons, cannot have a real pet within the home," commented Nicola Mellor, senior brand manager at MGA Entertainment.

"Support Adoption For Pets raise aim to raise awareness of responsible ownership, so it seemed like a natural brand fit and a great cause to support.”

Amy Wilson, fundraising manager at Support Adoption For Pets, added: “The support we receive for our Santa Paws campaigns is always fantastic, it is with help from people such as MGA Entertainment that we can continue to support vulnerable pets.”
