K’NEX sees 18 per cent UK market growth in 2016

K’NEX is reporting significant growth in the UK market for 2016, holding its position as the number two toy firm in standard construction.

The company has reported an 18 per cent increase in sales year to date, outperforming the construction category’s overall growth of seven per cent.

The growth has been fuelled by a number of sell out items from the firm, including the likes of the K’NEX Building Tubs and Thrill Rides Electric Inferno, helping the company to a 24 per cent year on year increase in sales for November alone.

In addition, the construction toy specialist has taken a 20 per cent share of voice in TVRs for boys aged five to nine, when compared to key competitors.

Paul Fogarty, K’NEX UK managing director, said: “We are excited to be rounding off the year with such a strong performance and with Toy Fair just around the corner, we look forward to showcasing our 2017 line, introducing K’NEX to children aged three and upwards for the first time.

“With an incredible line packed full of innovation plus powerhouse licenses including Mario and My Little Pony, we are confident that next year will continue to grow our market share and offer more kids than ever the chance to build bigger, faster.”
