Asobi unveils Schmaze sports plush

Asobi has bolstered its range of plush toys with the addition of The Schmaze My First line.

The collection boasts a series of rugby, cricket and football based soft toys each with their own character and identity.

David Bottomley, commercial director at Asobi, said: “Most proud parents, grandparents and family members are itching to buy a new baby their first rugby or football boots, or cricket bat, but have to wait until the child is old enough or big enough to use smaller-sized sports equipment.”

Each of the toys have been designed to stimulate early development of fine motor skills and to introduce young children to sport themes.

Jonathan Rudd, creator of Schmaze, added: “At Schmaze we believe that many lasting friendships and memories are made through a love of sport.

“We have created a range of soft toys that encourage safe active play from a much younger age, the development of important social and physical skills and a deeper sense of self confidence.”
