Beasts of Balance launches in UK

New tabletop game Beasts of Balance hits UK store shelves today, following a successful US launch last week.

The game comes from UK hardware startup Sensible Object, who are overseeing the games’ debut in John Lewis and Harrods.

Described by it’s creators as "game of skill and strategy designed for everyone", the game sees players working together to build balancing towers with 24 Artefacts. As they stack each Artefact, they see them appear in and evolve a digital world that they are building on their tablet or smartphone. The aim is to build the most impressive world possible before the tower falls down.

Beasts of Balance was funded via Kickstarter in February of this year along with a subsequent venture backing from London Venture Partners. The game has won praise from multiple press outlets and has won the IndieCade Technology Award for 2015.

Beasts of Balance will be available from November 24th in John Lewis and Harrods, and at www.beastsofbalance.com. The playset, which includes 24 pieces and the sensing plinth, will retail for £69. The app is free to download through the Apple App Store, Google Play and the Amazon App Store.
