Elan Lee’s Bears vs. Babies becomes third most backed game in Kickstarter history

Elan Lee’s latest Kickstarter sensation, Bears vs. Babies has achieved the status of the third most backed game on the crowdfunding platform.

The project – in which players create monsters to destroy packs of evil babies – secured a total of $3,215,679 from a whopping 85,581 backers during its run.

The game is the latest title from Elan Lee and Matthew Inman, creators of the record-breaking tabletop game, Exploding Kittens.

Hours before the campaign’s closing on Thursday, the Bears vs. Babies team revealed that the project was only 5,000 backers away from becoming the second most backed game on Kickstarter.

The game narrowly missed out on the second spot to Double Fine Adventure, a title that secured a total of $3,336,371.

Lee and Inman’s Bears vs. Babies is now estimated to begin shipping in June 2017.
